Kefalos is located in the SW corner of the island. It is 43 klm from the city of Kos. Built on the site of the ancient capital of Kos Astypalaia. At the location of “Palatia” (Palaces) you can see the ruins of the ancient capital. The beaches of  Kefalos are the most cosmopolitan of the island.
